I have been fortunate enough to train and compete all over the world representing Ireland and England. This has expanded my view of martial arts and allowed me to develop confidence, independence and lifetime friends. Competition is of course only one element of the martial art we practice.
I have had the time to focus on practical self-defence elements. Though we always hope never to be placed in life threatening situations, I have found the practical self-defence (ho sin sul) elements which I have studied to be hugely beneficial for urban safety.
