The Broadway Studio is 5 years old this month

It has been five years since Johann de Silva’s Broadway Studio opened its doors. The founder of De Silva Taekwondo launched his second studio in the heart of Ealing Broadway in August 2011, more than a decade after opening his first taekwondo academy in Wembley.

However, while the Wembley Academy has always focused on taekwondo lessons, The Broadway Studio is a space that has welcomed a variety of classes from dance to fitness and martial arts. It has also been hired as a rehearsal space and casting auditions.

Here’s what we have on offer in 2016.

Our Classes

We currently offer dance, martial arts, and fitness classes, including:

Ballet – The West London Dance Academy hold ballet lessons every Saturday

Fitness – Aerial Hoop Fitness classes take place on Wednesday, with Pilates on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.

Martial arts – Non-contact Boxing classes are held on Monday, Judo on Friday, and Taekwondo lessons are on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday.

England coach and former world champion Johann de Silva teaches taekwondo at The Broadway Studio, putting on sessions for adult beginners and black belts.

Our Achievements

Seven members of Johann De Silva’s black belt class are in the ITF England team.

Four of his black belt students have reached the finals of the ITF World Championship.

Three female taekwondo students are part of the England team which have finished third at the World Championship and second at consecutive European Championships.
